What Does this MRI Scan Result Mean?

my fathering law suffering from stage 4 lung cancer.Resent MRI report indicate liver is enlarged. there are numerious metastic deposits numetious metastic deposits are seen in spine chest there are loss of volume of right lung with area of residual collapsed consolidation in right lower lobe.Pleural effusion is mosty resolved with small encysted effusion postero medially. There are no nodular opacities in the lungs to suggest pulmonary metastases. There is no evidence of hilar subcarinal or mediastinal lymphadenopathy. pls advice

From the available description it appears that your father in law is suffering with advanced cancer and only option available for him is palliative care. He may be having lots of pain due to multiple metastasis and it is important to give him required painkillers to alleviate his suffering.

In addition since this is late stage make all necessary arrangement to have a proper will so there is no chaos in family following his departure.
